Caffeine consumption is generally considered safe but; habit-forming. Over-consumption may result in anxiety, restlessness, tremors, irregular heartbeat, and trouble sleeping. Excess caffeine, in some individuals, may also elevate headaches, migraines, and high blood pressure. Furthermore, caffeine can easily cross the placenta, which can increase the risk of miscarriage or low birth weight therefore; pregnant women should limit their intake. Caffeine can also interact with some muscle relaxants and antidepressant medicines.
-
Chromium –
Scientific evidence has shown chromium to improve insulin sensitivity and hence reduce blood glucose levels and this may be because we have chromium deficiency due to poor nutritional level. Having excess chromium may worsen insulin sensitivity and lead to kidney or liver damage.
